Albert Head Lagoon, at the south end of Royal Roads, derives its name from the headland that was named by the Royal Navy for Prince Albert.
==Headland==
The neighbourhood of Albert Head is located on the headland of Albert Head, named for Prince Albert, consort of Queen Victoria.〔 It was surveyed and named in 1847 by Captain Henry Kellett on the HMS ''Herald'', due to its location across Royal Roads (then named Royal Bay) from the city of Victoria.〔
